Representative Transactions
• Representing various domestic and international insurance companies in pursuing recovery claims arising from loss or damage of cargo during marine, road and air transit. Litigations were commenced before the Chinese Courts and ship arrest/asset preservation measures were undertaken and enforcement procedures were commenced etc.
• Representing clients in ship arrest procedures in foreign countries (including Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Brazil etc).
• Representing clients in various arbitration cases before the CIETAC and SHIAC.
• Representing clients in the foreign and Hong Kong arbitration and Court proceedings.
• Representing clients in ship collision claims.
• Representing clients in various claims arising from the voyage, time and demise charterparties.
• Pursuing various claims against shipping companies / container terminals arising from disputes under container leasing agreements and was successful in recovering hundreds of containers from container terminals which were detained at various Chinese ports.
• Defending various claims for international freight forwarders / NVOCC carriers arising from delivery of cargo without original Bills of Lading.
• Representing clients in applying for registration of the creditors’ rights and commencing the confirmation of creditors’ right litigation etc.
• Representing various leading airlines in negotiating / settling claims brought by Chinese passengers involved in major incidents.
• Advising on foreign guarantee for trade contract.
• Advising on various international trade disputes.
